Project Alley

Project alley at Makers Playground

Members have plenty of space to design, use hand tools, and assemble their projects. Workbenches in this space can be used as your workstation and are first-come, first-served. Pull-down electrical outlets and Wi-Fi are available so you have everything you need to complete your projects. This area also houses our two CO2 lasers and fiber laser.

The Woodshop

Our woodshop has everything you need to create your projects. Members can use our SawStop table saw, 20″ planer, 17″ bandsaw, compound miter saw, 6″ jointer, 20″ router table, drill press, and several sanders. We also have a 4′×8′ ShopBot CNC router. In addition, a wide variety of power and hand tools are available for members to check out and use on site.

Think Tank

The Think Tank is a quiet area with several tables for members to work and collaborate. This area also houses our Ultimaker 3D printers. This area may also be used for summer workshops or programs. During the school year, the Think Tank is used in the daytime for our Maker First program for Hamilton Southeastern Schools 5th graders.

Maker Labs

Adjacent to the Fishers Parks office are three Maker Lab classrooms for teaching, training, and inspiring makers. At any given time, you might find a camp, program, or class in progress in one of the labs. During the school year, the Maker Labs are used in the daytime for our Maker First program for Hamilton Southeastern Schools 5th graders.
