DIY Knife Sharpening
Get sharper in the kitchen—literally. Join this hands-on workshop and learn how to safely and effectively sharpen your own kitchen knives. We’ll cover bevel edge basics, walk you through different sharpening methods (manual, jig, pull-thru, and powered), and give you plenty of guided practice with pro-grade tools.
What to expect:
- Learn the difference between edge-leading and edge-trailing sharpening
- Try out belt sanders, guided systems, and polishers
- Understand grit levels and edge progression
- Practice on real knives with expert guidance
By the end, you’ll leave with the skills to sharpen your own knives and keep them that way.
Please note that participants will be working with blades and abrasives. We will provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), however participants should wear close-toed shoes and avoid jewelry or other articles that dangle and may fall in front of the face or body.
