Project Alley

• AEON Supernova 14 CO2 Laser: Our Aeon Supernova 14 Laser Cutter features both a 150W glass CO2 tube and a 60W metal RF CO2 tube and has a cutting area of approximately 30×55”, but can accommodate material of almost any size using removable pass-thru walls. Generally, the maximum material thickness for cutting is about 1/4”.
• BOSS 3655 CO2 Laser: Our Boss HP-3655 Laser Cutter features a 150W glass CO2 tube and has a cutting area of approximately 36×55”, but can accommodate material of almost any size using removable pass-thru walls. Generally, the maximum material thickness for cutting is about 1/4”.
• EMP ST50J Fiber Laser: Our Aeon EMP ST50J Fiber Laser features a 50W laser with a wavelength of 1064nm and has a marking area of approximately 7.87″ x 7.87.”
• Lightburn software: All three of the laser cutters/engravers at Maker Playground use Lightburn.

Tool Library

In addition to items listed below, Maker Playground is stocked with a variety of general-purpose shop and electronics hand tools to support prototyping, assembly, repair, and fabrication projects. Available tools include soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, measuring tools, clamps, and other commonly used hand tools throughout the space.
