The Maker Playground Wood Shop is up and running! Join us for these introductory series and classes to use wood crafting machines and techniques. You’ll use hand tools, as well as machines, to create a basic household essential or usable project. These classes will teach you basic skills and safety in the wood shop, and will help spark creativity to begin constructing your own designs. All materials and tools will be provided.

Have you always wanted to get started in woodworking and weren’t sure where to start? Step inside the Maker Playground Woodshop to learn basic machine safety and woodworking techniques to cut, clamp, customize, and finish your own chartcuterie or cutting board. Maker Playground staff will guide you through the basics of machine safety and protocol and provide the materials needed.

Make your own skateboard as we take you start to finish in the process of CNC laser cutting a longboard deck for your next cruising session. Walk away from this class with hands-on knowledge and experience of crafting your own longboard pintail deck. (Trucks and wheels not included.)
